In 2023, AHRI is celebrating 80 years since its inception. To mark this important milestone and to recognise the contribution that HR professionals have made to their people, workplaces, and organisations since 1943, the AHRI Board is proud to announce The AHRI Scholarship as a lasting legacy.

This Scholarship recognises an individual committed to growing the HR body of knowledge and contributing to a better understanding of HR’s contribution and value.

The Scholarship Advisory Committee will work with the AHRI Board and will be drawn from across the profession to evaluate submissions for the scholarship.

Prize

Up to $15,000 AUD will be awarded to one successful applicant.

The scholarship can be used for study (dissertation or thesis to be completed within a year), a secondment, training, or research and the development of a paper. At the completion of their study, the scholarship winner will be invited to present their findings to AHRI through appropriate agreed channels.

Eligibility

  • Current AHRI member
  • Currently employed in an HR role in Australia

Application

We don’t expect a weighty submission – we are interested in your idea and the outcomes of the activity, both for you and for the wider HR profession. You choose the category of interest to you and that is relevant to the HR industry.

Your submission should cover:

  • who you are;
  • the proposed activity;
  • an outline of how the funding will be spent; and
  • the outcomes that will be delivered for the applicant and the HR profession

Are you ready to apply?

Applicants will submit a proposal outlining their study aim and the activities they will undertake to achieve it.
